I’m passionate about sharing the joy of movement through dance and yoga, and I’ve had the privilege of teaching around the world. From guiding yoga sessions in the serene Austin Salt Cave to leading classes on the beautiful island of Koh Phangan, Thailand, my goal is to create spaces where people can connect, grow, and feel inspired. I also offer Bollywood and semi-classical dance classes, helping to introduce these vibrant art forms to those curious to explore something new and expressive.

I recently completed an intensive two-week certification course (Navarasa Sadhana) at Natanakairali, where we focused deeply on the art of expression and abhinaya (acting). From the fierce energy of raudram to the serene grace of prasannata, we explored a wide range of emotional expressions. This training has greatly enriched my understanding of storytelling through movement, and I’m excited to incorporate these techniques into various dance forms as I continue to grow in my professional dance journey.

Shoba Naidu Dance Performance

I completed my Kuchipudi Rangapravesam in 2017, a significant milestone in a classical dancer’s journey. The performance took place at the prestigious Ravindra Bharathi auditorium, where I presented six traditional pieces showcasing a range of rhythm, expression, and technique. From intricate jathis to expressive abhinaya, the repertoire reflected years of dedicated training and deep connection to the art form.

Yoga deeply enhances my dance practice, especially in Kuchipudi. It improves flexibility, balance, and stamina, while also sharpening focus and emotional expression. My yoga certification has given me tools to move more mindfully, prevent injuries, and bring greater depth to both performance and teaching.
